I Wonder What You're Capable Of
Even though I experienced “accidental enlightenment,” I still get occasional pangs when the world seems unable to consistently move in a direction of unity and love. I know what we’re capable of … individually and globally … and my vision sometimes falls short of manifesting.
We can no longer turn to our traditional leaders to better the world and to evolve countries and communities. The possibility of courageous and empowered political (or religious) visionaries shifting its constituents’ realities is becoming rarer. The reasons are many, but the vastness of the political system, and the sheer volume of politicians who have veered away from attuning to universal wisdom, makes it more difficult for any one person to gain enough momentum to constitute an evolution. Another major reason is that as long as people perceive that “things are getting worse,” they will continue to lose faith and respect in traditional leaders. Without respect, anyone’s effort will be flaccid.
Today’s leaders rise in areas where people show interest, increasingly in the field of entertainment. A person who succeeds in their field of music, sports, acting, art, or literature, becomes the next potential voice for change. As long as those rising in their fields garner respect, they will have the power to exalt change. They do so subtly and overtly. They shift our thinking by showing possibilities, either through movies, lyrics, writings, or personal achievement. They cause us to think or rethink old notions. They create desire for a more perfect world. They can create hope where hope was waning.
“Overnight” success is usually a long and arduous tale, and those in the field of entertainment with longevity very often hold visions of possibility that exceed the average. They also conquer fear to surpass personal limits, and develop strong coping mechanisms to manage the inevitable critics and personal attacks. A noteworthy achiever does not “succeed” by being ordinary in their perception and expectation of what they are capable of and they put forth significant effort in overcoming obstacles.
This month, think about those you admire, whether in the public eye or in your personal arena. Why do you admire these people? What have they achieved that is remarkable? Do you respect their body of work, their courage, their commitment, or their ideas? Perhaps you intuit that these people live with high levels of awareness, attuning, consciously or unconsciously, to universal wisdom. Perhaps you sense that they live in honor with others; they live exuding the vibration of love.
Can you make any slight changes to emulate those you admire? Can you exude their purposefulness, dedication, and consistent beliefs?
Your own life’s trajectory improves every time you wonder. Wonder about those you admire and wonder how you can live more to your personal vision of your own capability. And if your vision is outdated, or suppressed because of others’ criticisms throughout life, then upgrade it now. I’m blown away in sessions by my clients’ limited perception of self in comparison to what I intuit about them. As an intuitive, I “see” every client’s shining soul, and I see the wrapper of the human experience shrouding it. You can take off those layers and be what you want to be.
Those you admire have (or still do) struggled with their own self-perceptions. Even my high-profile clients have ongoing challenges in removing the hindrances of misbeliefs that saddled them as children, but they are dedicated to overcoming their limiting self-beliefs. We all have that fuel, that "shine," inside us. Let your self-love grow and this month give it a boost by wondering about those you admire. Wonder, note, and then intend. Intend to be more of the”you” you want to be.
As you build your belief in yourself, you change your energy and others’ perceptions of you as well. You act differently and exude a magnetic energy. You become the person others admire. You become a leader. You become the next person who can shift, for the better, others’ perceptions about what is possible. You become the person we seek outside ourselves for answers. You become the leader.
When we each become a leader within our own circle of influence, we make way for those who shift humanity in big ways. We bring their messages closer to home and help the ripples spread.
During this tumultuous presidential election year, be the leader you want to elect. I wonder what you can achieve.

“I just wanted to tell you again how nice it was to meet you. You have a very approachable demeanor and you are very easy to talk to. Since meeting with you my ambition and energy has exploded into such a driving force that I cannot describe the feeling. I hope that I can live up to a role in which I am a leader because I do want to be one, and I am so worried about the direction of where the country is going. I have so much to learn, but for the first time ever I feel that I am more than up to any task that I need to be."Thank you again.” –Gary, New York, NY
